RS 9:2800.76 - Exemplary damages In addition to general and special damages that may be awarded under this Chapter, exemplary damages may be awarded upon proof that the sale or distribution of an illegal controlled substance or participation in the marketing of an illegal controlled substance was in wanton or reckless disregard for the rights, health, and safety of others.
