RS 9:387 - Spousal support; period of grace after effective date of spousal support revision act A person who is entitled to assert a claim for spousal support, and who is adversely affected by the provisions of Acts 1997, No. 1078, has one year from January 1, 1998, within which to assert a claim under the law in effect prior to that date.
