RS 9:5602 - Contracts for work and labor; New Orleans The following actions are prescribed by one year: (1) Those for the enforcement of any contract entered into with the municipal corporation of New Orleans for work and labor to be performed, reckoning from the expiration of the time within which the contract was required to be performed. (2) Those for the recovery of damages in favor of the contractors for breach of any such contract on the part of such municipal corporation, reckoning from the day the damages are alleged to have arisen.
