RS 9:5802 - Fugitive from justice Prescription does not run against the action of a citizen of this state against a former citizen or resident of this state who is a fugitive from justice and is without a representative in this state upon whom judicial process may be served. Prescription begins to run from the day the fugitive returns to the state or from the day his power of attorney appointing a representative upon whom judicial process may be served is filed in the office of the clerk of court of the parish of his former residence.
