RS 9:603 - Absentee minor or interdict not represented; special representation to effect sale When it is desired to sell the whole property in which a minor or interdict owns an undivided interest, or the undivided interest of a minor or interdict in property, and the minor or interdict is an absentee and not represented by a tutor or curator residing in the state, the court having jurisdiction of the property may appoint, on the petition of any co-owner, a tutor or curator and an under tutor or under curator to serve under oath without bond to represent the absentee in the proceedings. A foreign tutor, curator, or guardian who has been recognized as provided in Article 4431 or 4556 of the Code of Civil Procedure may represent the minor or interdict under this section. Amended by Acts 1960, No. 31, §2; eff. Jan. 1, 1961.
