§ 424

§424. Voluntary water quality monitors The Commissioner of Environmental Protection may appoint voluntary water quality monitors to serve at the will and pleasure of the commissioner. [PL 1973, c. 572, §1 (NEW).]Such monitors are authorized to take water samples and tests of the waters of this State at such times and at such places and in such manner as the commissioner directs and to forward such water samples and test results to the commissioner for analysis. [RR 2021, c. 2, Pt. B, §234 (COR).]The commissioner is authorized to provide such monitors with such sampling materials and equipment as the commissioner determines necessary. Such equipment and materials at all times remain the property of the State and must be immediately returned to the commissioner upon the commissioner's direction. [RR 2021, c. 2, Pt.
