§1028. Violations Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this Article, except section 1017, subsection 1, paragraph B, or shall neglect or refuse to comply with the provisions thereof or any rule or regulation promulgated hereunder shall be subject to the following civil penalties payable to the State to be recovered in a civil action: [PL 1977, c. 696, §86 (RPR).]1. First violation. For the first violation, a civil penalty not to exceed $1,000; and [PL 1977, c. 696, §86 (NEW).] 2. Subsequent violation. For each subsequent violation, a civil penalty not to exceed $2,000. [PL 1977, c. 696, §86 (NEW).] Each day a violation under this section remains uncorrected may be counted as a separate offense.
