Maryland Legal Code
(a) There is a solicitor’s permit. (b) The permit holder may be a resident or a nonresident of the State. (c) The permit authorizes the holder to promote, sell, or offer for sale beer, wine, or distilled spirits to holders of manufacturer’s, wholesaler’s, or retail licenses. (d) (1) The permit holder: (i) may not contact consumers; and (ii) subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection, may not sell, promote, or offer for sale alcoholic beverages to retail dealers, if employed by a resident dealer or a nonresident dealer. (2) The prohibition under paragraph (1)(ii) of this subsection does not apply if the account is for a State wholesaler or manufacturer that is a distributor for the products of the employer of the permit holder. (e) The permit fee is $50.
