Maryland Legal Code
(a) A license holder or an employee of a license holder may not require, as a condition of sale of an alcoholic beverage for on–premises consumption, that an individual buy more than one bottle, container, or other serving of an alcoholic beverage at a time. (b) The issuer of a license may revoke or suspend the license for a violation of this section. (c) Instead of or in addition to suspending or revoking the license, a person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both for each offense.
