(a) Each container of automotive crankcase oil offered for sale at wholesale or retail shall be labeled with the appropriate API/SAE classification and SAE viscosity number, as defined by the API engine service classification system. (b) Each container of crankcase oil or other lubricant that has been used for lubrication and then reclaimed, refined, or reconditioned shall be labeled with the word 'reconditioned'.
