Section 17-907 - Applications for Licenses

(a) (1) An applicant for a peddler license shall pay to the clerk the applicable license fee. (2) If the applicant is a foot peddler, the license fee is: (i) in Baltimore City, $200; (ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and (iii) in any other county, $100. (3) If the applicant is a one–horse peddler, the license fee is: (i) in Baltimore City, $250; (ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and (iii) in any other county, $150. (4) If the applicant is a two–horse peddler, the license fee is: (i) in Baltimore City, $300; (ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and (iii) in any other county, $200. (5) If the applicant is a motor vehicle peddler, the license fee is: (i) in Baltimore City, $500; (ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and (iii) in any other county, $300; but 1. in Garrett County, the license fee is $100 for a resident of Garrett County; and 2. in Worcester County, the license fee is $100 for a resident of Worcester County who sells only ice cream.

(b) (1) In Harford County, an applicant for a peddler license must have the written permission of the owner or lessee of the property where the applicant will do business. (2) The written permission shall include: (i) the name, address, and telephone number of the owner or lessee of the property; (ii) the name, permanent address, and telephone number of the applicant; (iii) a description of the goods to be sold by the applicant; and (iv) the times of day and the number of days per month that the applicant is allowed to do business on the property of the owner or lessee.
