(a) A manufacturer who sells a new motorized wheelchair to a consumer, either directly or through a motorized wheelchair dealer, shall furnish the consumer with an express written warranty for the new motorized wheelchair warranting parts and performance. (b) The duration of the express written warranty may not be less than 1 year after first delivery of the new motorized wheelchair to the consumer. (c) If a manufacturer fails to furnish an express written warranty as required by this section, the new motorized wheelchair shall be covered by an express warranty, as if the manufacturer had furnished an express written warranty to the consumer as required by this section.
