Section 5-311 - Members May Organize Another Church

(a) Members of a church may separate from the church, form a house of worship, and employ a minister if: (1) They are of sufficient number to form a house of worship and maintain a minister; and (2) All debts and contracts incurred by them as members of the original church are discharged. (b) When incorporated, the new church is entitled to the benefits of this subtitle relating to religious corporations.
