The following cooperatives are entitled to use the word 'cooperative', or any abbreviation or derivation thereof, as part of their business names, or to represent themselves in their advertising or otherwise as conducting business on a cooperative basis: (1) Cooperatives organized under this subtitle or Subtitle 5, Agricultural Cooperatives; (2) Entities organized under any other law of this State that are operated on a cooperative basis; (3) Foreign corporations operating on a cooperative basis and authorized to do business in this State; or (4) Housing cooperatives.
