Section 10-205 - Public Records -- Exceptions

(a) In this section, 'the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems' means the State agency described in § 13–503 of the Education Article. (b) Records, reports, statements, notes, or information assembled or obtained by the Maryland Department of Health, the Maryland Commission to Study Problems of Drug Addiction, the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty or its allied medical societies, the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems, an in–hospital staff committee, or a national organized medical society or research group that are declared confidential by § 4–102 of the Health – General Article or § 14–506 of the Health Occupations Article, are not admissible in evidence in any proceeding. (c) An employee or agent of any of the organizations listed in subsection (b) of this section may not be compelled to divulge any such record, report, statement, note, or information in this connection.
