Section 13-2438 - Criminal Penalty

(a) (1) A person who violates § 13-2436 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding: (i) for a first violation, $5,000; or (ii) for each subsequent violation, $10,000. (2) Each sale or offer of a chance from a tip jar is a separate violation. (b) If a person convicted under this section has a liquor license, the agency shall recommend to the Board of License Commissioners for Washington County that the Board suspend the person’s liquor license for not less than 15 days.
