Section 1-207 - Remission of Fines and Forfeitures

(a) The Governor may remit all or part of a fine or forfeiture. (b) A defendant or surety applying for the remission of all or part of a recognizance that has been forfeited: (1) may apply to a court to order the remission in accordance with Title 4 of the Maryland Rules; and (2) need not apply to the Governor to order the remission.
