Section 10-228 - Prohibited Act; Penalty

(a) An employer or prospective employer may not require a person to inspect or challenge any criminal history record information relating to that person for the purpose of obtaining a copy of the person’s record to qualify for employment. (b) A person that violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or both for each violation.
