(a) An award under this subtitle shall be paid in the manner that the Board specifies in its decision. (b) An award under this subtitle is not subject to execution or attachment other than for expenses resulting from the injury that is the basis for the claim. (c) In each case under this subtitle that provides for compensation to an employee or the employee’s dependent, the Board may convert the compensation to be paid in a partial or total lump sum without discount, if in the Board’s opinion the facts and circumstances of the case warrant.
