Section 4-106 - General Powers and Duties

The Division shall: (1) stimulate development of tourism business in the State; (2) promote business and job opportunities in the State; (3) encourage development of recreational areas and facilities; (4) make the public aware of the State’s heritage and historical development; (5) advertise and disseminate information about the State; (6) encourage the promotion and development of amateur and professional sports in the State; (7) encourage the advancement of and participation in the performing, visual, and creative arts; and (8) administer those programs assigned to the Division by law or designated by the Secretary.
