Maryland Legal Code
(a) In this part the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) 'Commercialization' means the process of introducing a new product or technology into the market. (c) 'Fund' means the Maryland Innovation Initiative Fund established under § 10–457 of this subtitle. (d) 'Initiative' means the Maryland Innovation Initiative established under § 10–455 of this subtitle. (e) 'Participating members' means the representatives described in § 10–455(b) of this subtitle. (f) 'Qualifying university' means a public or private university that meets the requirements set forth under § 10–455(c) of this subtitle. (g) 'Technology transfer' means the process of converting scientific and technological advances into marketable goods and services. (h) 'University' means a nonprofit, research university located in Maryland.
