Section 13-1103 - Membership

(a) (1) The Advisory Committee consists of nine members. (2) Of the nine members: (i) three shall be from Somerset County; (ii) three shall be from Wicomico County; and (iii) three shall be from Worcester County. (3) The governing body of each county shall appoint the members from that county. (b) Each member of the Advisory Committee shall be a member of the general public and reside in the county from which the member is appointed. (c) (1) The term of a member is 5 years. (2) The terms of members are staggered as required by the terms provided for members of the Advisory Committee on October 1, 2008. (3) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies. (4) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies. (d) The governing body that appointed a member may remove the member for incompetence or misconduct.
