Section 12-121 - Specialized Clinical Care at Rural Hospitals by Faculty -- Annual Funding

(a) The University of Maryland School of Medicine shall provide specialized clinical care at rural hospitals operated by the University of Maryland Medical System by assigning faculty who specialize in essential areas to each rural hospital. (b) (1) For fiscal years 2023 through 2025, the Governor shall include in the annual budget bill an appropriation of at least $2,000,000 to implement the provisions of this section. (2) Funds provided in accordance with this subsection shall supplement and may not supplant any other funding provided to the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
