(a) Each chair designated as a position for an eminent scholar shall be endowed fully for the incumbency of the holder of that chair. (b) The State may contribute the funds provided in the budget to match endowments obtained by each institution that are specifically designated for the Eminent Scholar Program. The contribution shall be in conjunction with, and supplemental to, the regular faculty salary funding.
