Section 7-227 - Interstate Compact on Low-Level Nuclear Waste

(a) On behalf of this State, the Governor may negotiate an interstate compact for the storage or disposal of low-level nuclear wastes on a regional basis. (b) Unless federal law provides otherwise, any interstate compact negotiated under this section shall include provisions that limit the storage or disposal of any low-level nuclear waste under the interstate compact to low-level nuclear wastes produced in states that are members of the interstate compact.
