Section 5-506 - Order Directing Transfer of Title to Property

If a foreign personal representative fails within a reasonable time to transfer the title to real or leasehold property located in the State to the person entitled to it, the court may by appropriate order direct the transfer of title to the person if: (1) The will, if there is one, or a copy authenticated pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1738 is filed in the office of the register; (2) Every death tax with interest and penalties has been paid as contemplated in § 5–504 of this subtitle; (3) Notice in a form approved by the court has been published to the effect that the decedent died owning the real or leasehold property as defined in § 5–503(a) of this subtitle; and (4) All claims of creditors have been satisfied.
