Maryland Legal Code
(a) Any unit of the State government that conducts or supports activities affecting the Heritage Area shall: (1) Consult, cooperate, and, to the maximum extent possible, coordinate its activities with the Authority; and (2) Conduct or support the activities of the unit in a manner that: (i) To the maximum extent practicable, is consistent with the management plan established under § 13-1011 of this subtitle; and (ii) As determined under §§ 5A-325 and 5A-326 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, does not have an adverse effect on the historic resources of the Heritage Area. (b) A unit of the State government may not issue any license or permit to any person to conduct any activity within the Heritage Area unless the unit determines that the proposed activity: (1) Will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the management plan established under § 13-1011 of this subtitle; and (2) As determined under §§ 5A-325 and 5A-326 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, does not have an adverse effect on the historic resources of the Heritage Area.
