Section 5-854 - Violations

(a) (1) A person who knowingly and willfully violates this part is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000. (2) If the person is not an individual, each officer and partner who knowingly authorized or participated in the violation is subject to the penalty specified in paragraph (1) of this subsection. (b) (1) A person who is subject to this part shall preserve all accounts, bills, receipts, books, papers, and other documents necessary to complete and substantiate any reports, statements, or records required to be made under this part for 3 years from the date of filing the application. (2) The documents shall be available for inspection on request to the Howard County Ethics Commission, after reasonable notice.
