(a) (1) The Secretary may investigate any irregularity or violation of this subtitle. (2) On request of the Secretary, each registrar shall help the Secretary in the investigation. (b) If the Secretary considers it necessary, the Secretary shall report a violation of this subtitle to the State’s Attorney for the appropriate county, with a statement of the relevant facts and circumstances, for appropriate action.
