Section 13-312 - Reinstatement of Expired Licenses

(a) (1) Within 3 years after a license has expired, the Board may reinstate the license if the licensee: (i) Was licensed by passing a Board approved national licensing examination; (ii) Has not practiced physical therapy or limited physical therapy in this State during that period; (iii) Otherwise is entitled to be licensed; (iv) Pays to the Board the application fee set by the Board; (v) Submits to the Board an application on the form required by the Board; and (vi) Has met the continuing education requirements of § 13-311(d) of this subtitle. (2) The Board may not require the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant who qualifies for reinstatement under this subsection to be reexamined under § 13-306 of this subtitle. (b) The physical therapist or physical therapist assistant who does not qualify under subsection (a) of this section may not have the license reinstated. The physical therapist or physical therapist assistant may become licensed only by meeting the current requirements for obtaining a new license under this title.
