Section 20-302 - Qualifications

(a) To qualify for a certificate as a program administrator, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the requirements of this section. (b) The applicant shall be of good moral character. (c) The applicant shall have completed: (1) A State and national criminal history records check; and (2) Unless waived by the Board under § 20–303(d) of this subtitle, a child protective services background clearance. (d) The applicant shall be at least 21 years old. (e) The applicant shall have: (1) (i) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and (ii) At least 4 years experience in the human service field with at least 3 years in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or (2) (i) A master’s degree from an accredited college or university; and (ii) At least 2 years experience in the human service field with at least 1 year in a supervisory or administrative capacity. (f) Except as otherwise provided in this title, the applicant shall pass an examination given by the Board under this subtitle.
