Section 4-1902 - Purpose; Continuation of Payments After Expiration of State of Emergency

(a) The purpose of the Program is to provide financial assistance in an area covered by a state of emergency declared under § 14–107 of the Public Safety Article or in a federally declared disaster area to rehabilitate or replace a primary residence to: (1) a family whose primary residence was damaged or destroyed by the disaster; and (2) a nonprofit entity that assists a family in rehabilitating and replacing a primary residence destroyed by the disaster. (b) The Department may continue to provide financial assistance under this subtitle after the expiration of a state of emergency declared under § 14–107 of the Public Safety Article.
