Section 6-409 - Definitions

(a) In this part the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) 'Administering agency' means an entity that the Department approves in accordance with § 6-414 of this subtitle to administer the Program at the county level. (c) (1) 'Emergency food provider' means a nonprofit organization or an organization operated by a local government that provides food at no charge to needy individuals. (2) 'Emergency food provider' includes: (i) a soup kitchen; and (ii) a food pantry. (d) 'Program' means the Maryland Emergency Food Program.
