Section 6-411 - Purposes; Intent

(a) The purposes of the Program are to: (1) provide funding to assist emergency food providers in purchasing food for needy individuals; (2) encourage needy individuals to become self-sufficient; and (3) distribute information on the State’s earned income tax credit established under § 10-704 of the Tax - General Article.
