Section 4-502 - Applicability and Construction of Subtitle

(a) The requirements of this subtitle apply only to insurers domiciled in this State. (b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, this subtitle may not be construed to require or impose corporate governance standards and internal procedures beyond those which are required under the Corporations and Associations Article. (c) This subtitle may not be construed to limit the Commissioner’s authority, or the rights or obligations of a third–party under Title 2, Subtitle 2 of this article.
