Section 3-216 - Prohibited Acts; Penalties

(a) A person may not: (1) interfere with or hinder the performance of any duty of the Commissioner under this subtitle; or (2) knowingly give false information to the Commissioner. (b) A person may not knowingly: (1) employ a minor in violation of a provision of this subtitle; or (2) allow a minor to be employed in violation of a provision of this subtitle. (c) (1) A person who violates any provision of subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or both. (2) A person who violates any provision of subsection (b) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both.
