Section 9-304 - Full-Time Duties; Compensation

(a) (1) Each member of the Commission shall devote full time to the duties of office. (2) While on the Commission, a member may not: (i) practice law; (ii) hold any political employment under State or federal law; or (iii) hold any other position or engage in any business that interferes or is inconsistent with any duty of office. (b) (1) Each member of the Commission is entitled to: (i) the salary provided in the State budget; and (ii) reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget. (2) The annual salary of a member of the Commission: (i) shall at least equal the salary provided in the State budget for a judge of the district court; and (ii) for the Chairman, shall be at least $1,500 more than the salary of the other members. (3) Except as provided in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subsection, a member of the Commission may not receive a fee or perquisite for the discharge of any duty of office.
