Section 10-301 - Districts and Zones

(a) The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City may divide Baltimore City into districts and zones of any number, shape, and area as they determine are best suited to carry out the purposes listed in § 10–302 of this subtitle. (b) (1) Within the districts and zones, the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City may regulate the construction, alteration, repair, or use of buildings, structures, or land. (2) (i) Zoning regulations adopted by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City under this subtitle shall be uniform for each class or kind of development throughout each district or zone. (ii) Zoning regulations in one district or zone may differ from those in other districts or zones.
