(a) This section applies to a distributor or wholesaler of sparklers or sparkling devices who: (1) intends to conduct business in the State; or (2) sells, ships, or assigns for sale in the State the products of the distributor or wholesaler. (b) A distributor or wholesaler shall register annually with the State Fire Marshal on forms the State Fire Marshal provides. (c) The annual fee for registration under this section is $750. (d) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.
