(a) This section applies in Charles County and St. Mary’s County. (b) In a county subject to this section, a homeowner may install electrical wiring in a home that is to be used as the homeowner’s residence subject to standards set by the county commissioners. (c) (1) The county commissioners of Charles County may adopt regulations to govern the issuance of permits to homeowners under this section. (2) The county commissioners of St. Mary’s County shall adopt regulations to govern the issuance of permits to homeowners under this section.
