(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) 'Combustible material' includes waste paper, rags, shavings, waste, leather, rubber, crates, boxes, barrels, rubbish, or other material that is or may become dangerous as a fire menace. (c) 'Fire official' means: (1) a member of a board of fire commissioners of a municipal corporation of the State; (2) a chief or assistant to the chief of a fire department of a municipal corporation of the State; (3) an officer or member of a fire department of a municipal corporation of the State acting under the direction of the board of fire commissioners or fire chief; or (4) a chief, chief engineer, captain, or lieutenant of a volunteer fire company, fire district, or any other organization created for the purpose of and engaged in the work of extinguishing fires in an unincorporated town, municipal corporation, or county of the State.
