(a) On or before May 31 of each year, each unit of the State government shall send a report on the condition of each public improvement under its jurisdiction to: (1) the Department of Budget and Management; and (2) the Department of General Services. (b) The report shall: (1) identify the public improvement; and (2) state whether the public improvement is being maintained in accordance with the policies and standards established by the Department of General Services. (c) With the assistance of the Department of Budget and Management, the Department of General Services shall recommend measures necessary to correct deficiencies in the maintenance and repair programs.
