Section 5-301 - Responsibilities to Governor

(a) The Department is the staff agency of the Governor for planning matters with the exception of capital facilities planning. (b) (1) The Department is the principal staff agency for planning matters concerning the resources and development of the State. (2) In this capacity, the Department shall undertake special studies, submit reports, and give advice to the Governor at the request of the Governor.
