(a) The Commission consists of: (1) 3 members appointed by the Governor; and (2) as an ex officio member, any individual elected to life membership in the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, after service as an appointed member of the Commission from this State. (b) (1) The term of an appointed member is 4 years and begins on June 1 of the year in which the term of the Governor begins. (2) At the end of a term, an appointed member continues to serve until a successor is appointed. (3) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed.
