Section 7-301 - Guidelines; Duration of Emergency Appointments

(a) In accordance with guidelines issued by the Secretary, an appointing authority shall appoint individuals to the executive service, the management service, as special appointments, or as emergency appointments. (b) These guidelines shall require that the individual appointed shall be qualified to perform the work described in the position description required by § 7-102 of this title. (c) An emergency appointment under this section may not exceed 6 months and may not be renewed.
