Section 9-1103 - Paid Leave Following Positive Tuberculin Skin Test

(a) An employee is entitled to receive appropriate health care to be provided by the appointing authority and leave with pay in accordance with subsection (b) of this section, if: (1) the employee has a positive tuberculin skin test result on a test taken by the employee at the direction of the employee’s appointing authority; and (2) the Secretary of Health determines that, for public health reasons, the employee should not work for a given period of time. (b) Leave granted to an employee under this subsection for public health reasons may not exceed 90 days. If it is determined that a longer absence is medically required, the employee may use other forms of leave to the extent authorized under this title.
