The commonwealth shall remain liable for the payment of bonds issued under section 8A of chapter 212 of the acts of 1975, as amended, and for contract assistance obligations under section 8B of said chapter 212 in respect of bonds issued prior to the enactment of this act, each to the same extent as before the enactment of this act.
