Article 143. Uniformity of interpretation and Military Rules of Evidence.\n(a) This code shall be so construed as to effectuate its general purpose to make it uniform, so far as practical, with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. section 801, et seq.\n(b) The federal Military Rules of Evidence at the time of the offense shall apply to court-martial proceedings convened under this chapter.
