§ 10

If, upon the death, removal or expiration of the term of a register, deeds or other instruments entered in the registry are unrecorded, or recorded but unattested, or if records are unattested, his successor or any subsequent register shall record or attest such deeds, instruments or records agreeably to the facts and conformably with the records and books of entry.
