\n(b) The purposes and responsibilities of the marine technology, environmental, and engineering programs shall be to:\n(1) promote the development of and conduct research in innovative envirotechnologies related to the marine environment; and\n(2) assist and cooperate with Massachusetts business, industry, and agencies in the demonstration, transfer, and deployment of innovative marine envirotechnologies.
